Extension of the glass factory

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

To expand its business, in 2018 the construction of a second plant located just outside the existing one, where the Miastokonstrukcja Wrocław was a Construction Manager. The investment was created within the Katowice Special Economic Zone. It consisted in the construction of a new technology line for the production of float glass with a capacity of 1100 mg/day. The project also aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the steelworks, m.in. through the use of energy-efficient furnaces, environmental control systems and the construction of an additional rail line dedicated to the supply of raw materials, thereby reducing the negative environmental impact of transport. Project information: 87 137 m2; 502 contractors from 13 countries.
