Congratulations go to the Academy of Physical Education in Wrocław, a university that has been educating high-class managers in the sports and tourism industry for 75 years. The Academy boasts famous graduates, including Olympians, as well as coaches of the national team and a particularly valued teaching group. Students, apart from strictly sports education, are equally eager to choose directions related to tourism and physiotherapy. Something that should particularly attract attention at such a university is a modern base for conducting classes and training various disciplines.
We can boldly say that Miastoprojekt has made its contribution to the development of AWF Wrocław. In 2008-2011, we acted as a Contract Engineer on the construction of an educational and sports complex in the Fields of Mars, getting involved from the stage of selecting a designer. We also participated in the selection of the general contractor, supervised construction works and carried out tasks related to obtaining permits for the use of the complex. The result of this comprehensive cooperation are three full-size grass pitches intended for football (including one with an artificial surface) and pitches with a sand and tartan ground, which are especially enjoyed by basketball, volleyball and handball fans. The whole is complemented by a modern educational and sports building with a team games room, gym and lecture halls.
The sports field complex received the title and certificate in the "Sports Facility of the Year 2011" category in the 12th edition of the Polish Sport Builders Competition organized by the Polish Sports Infrastructure Club. The quality of the implementation in the Fields of Mars is also appreciated by the organizers of international tournaments and competitions. In this place in 2017, the competitors of The World Games also presented their skills in several demanding disciplines.
The official celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Academy of Physical Education in Wrocław will last until mid-November. We wish the University of Physical Education in Wrocław many beautiful jubilees and more graduates who will make the university and Wrocław famous in sports arenas all over the world!
